Born in the White Mountain Apache Indian Reaservation in Arizona, 
Mary's early interest in art led to winning the Iowa State Schol-
astic Arts Award and an art scholarship. Subsequently attended 
Woodbury University in Burbank, graduated with a Bachelor or Arts
in Art Design. Also studied at Otis Parsons College of art and de-
sign in Los Angeles and the Art Center in Pasedena. Opened a stained
glass gallery, the Gilded Payne.

Awards:
"Outstanding Performance" award from the Los Angeles Board of Pub-
lic Works.
"Outstanding Artist of the Year, 1989": from the Pasedena Art
Center.
Various awards form the City of Los Angeles for work in several murals
and landscaping projects.

Expertise:
Stained glass design, custom doors and windows, gift items, restora-
tion, jewelry design, custom framing, mural design and painting, an-
tique restoration, and oil painting.

Clientele:
Cafe La Boheme, Barrigan's Restaurant, Mount Hollywood Church, Chasens
Restaurant in Beverly Hills, The Panda Inn, Congregational Church of
Los Angeles, and Pratt and Whitney Aircraft.

Besides commercial clients such as these Mary has done commisions for
a number of private clients as well, including many well known celeb-
rities.

Currently Mary enjoys working out of her home studio in Los Angeles
and resides with her husband, Kenny, one dog and several cats.
